Our mission - tactical medicine for Ukraine

At Culbaba Theatre, we recognise our responsibility to support Ukraine while based safely here in the UK. Our tactical medicine initiative focuses on purchasing essential tourniquets here in the UK and delivering them directly to Ukrainian brigades on the frontlines who urgently request our assistance. We prioritise providing timely and effective aid to those defending our country.

Transparency

Culbaba Theatre supports fundraising initiatives to purchase medical tourniquets for Ukraine. Our work is community-based, volunteer-led and transparent. While we are currently in the process of formal registration and will receive an official UK theatre/charity bank account soon, our fundraising is already active through in-person community donations (cash only) at events, rehearsals and cultural gatherings.

We are committed to providing clear and transparent records of our fundraising and expenditures, ensuring you can see exactly how your support makes a difference. Below you'll find a breakdown of donations received, items purchased, and their delivery to those in need in Ukraine. Join us in supporting those on the frontlines.

How we report

To ensure full transparency, we provide public documentation for every procurement cycle. Each report contains:

  • the date and purpose of the fundraising
  • the exact amount collected
  • invoices confirming purchases
  • photographs / videos of the parcels sent
  • receiving confirmation sent by the units / volunteers in Ukraine

Evidence archive

Our evidence includes invoices from suppliers, delivery confirmation media, community event photos and previous public posts on social platforms.
We store and publish all documentation publicly on this page, so that every supporter can see where donations went and what was delivered.

Join our efforts

Tourniquets save lives. This is direct, fast and effective support.

It is also important to clarify that donations collected through Culbaba Theatre are used exclusively to purchase medical tourniquets. Any additional comfort items such as treats, warming pads, insoles or small supportive gifts sent inside the parcels are covered personally by members of our team — from our own funds — as an expression of care for our defenders, not from donated money.

We sometimes collaborate with larger fundraising campaigns to achieve greater goals. By working together, we can provide even more support to those in need. We invite you to consider donating to our tactical medicine initiative and helping us continue to provide critical aid to Ukraine. Your support can save lives. If you would like to donate, please visit our Support Us page.

We believe in responsible cultural activism: British and Ukrainian community art that supports real impact.
