Today marks an important milestone in the history of Culbaba Theatre.
We are delighted to share that Culbaba Theatre has been registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in England and Wales.
This marks the beginning of a new chapter for our organisation.
Culbaba Theatre was founded with a simple but meaningful purpose: to preserve and share Ukrainian intangible cultural heritage while creating opportunities for people from different backgrounds to meet, learn from one another and build community through music, theatre and traditional culture.
Over the past months, we have worked hard to build strong foundations for the organisation. Behind every concert, exhibition, workshop and community event has been an enormous amount of planning, governance and preparation. Today, that work has been recognised.
This achievement belongs to everyone who has believed in our mission, supported our events, volunteered their time, donated, partnered with us, or simply joined us to listen, learn and sing together.
Our sincere thanks go to our trustees, volunteers, supporters and everyone who has stood beside us on this journey.
The work is only just beginning. We look forward to growing Culbaba Theatre as a charity that celebrates Ukrainian culture, supports communities affected by war, and creates meaningful cultural connections across East Sussex and beyond.
